Henri and Paul Nouwen are seen together and with unidentified children playing in the water and sitting with a sand castle during a beach trip to Wijk aan Zee in August 1938. Also included is a photo of Maria and Laurent J.M. Nouwen sitting in beach chairs, having refreshments, with two unidentified women and two young girls. The annotation on the page reads: "Wijk aan Zee Augustus 1938"
