Predominantly taken in the summer of 1956, the photos include Laurent J.M., Maria, Laurent and Laurien Nouwen picking up Henri Nouwen from the Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam, in August, after his return from Ireland; Laurien Nouwen with the family dog, Finest; Laurien, Maria and Laurent Nouwen with the Francois and Liesje Tombeur in Mook, the Netherlands; and Maria Nouwen with an unidentified boy. The annotations on the page read: "Schiphol Augustus 1956", "Augustus 1956 Harry terug uit Ierland" and "Mook 1956".
